No business like show business (for Blaine)

David is finding a rhythm with his lectures and his readings and his essays. He thinks. So he decides it would be safe enough to get involved in some sort of society. Scripps has been asking him about what he does outside of school, and he wants to have an answer other than, "Revising."

There's a theatrical society at Magdalen, and they're having a recruitment meeting for anyone interested in joining. He'd thought about trying to get Akthar to come with, but then he decided that Blaine would be better for that, so he asked the other boy to join him. And now he's knocking on Blaine's door to see if he's ready to head out to the meeting.

David doesn't point out that it's mostly his fingertips that hurt. He rather likes the massaging.

"Ta."

Blaine works his way up Davids fingers. He rubs knuckles and is careful with any spots he might think are sore.

David is careful to keep his fingertips away from Blaine's massaging, but he smiles as Blaine works over him.

"Where did you learn to do that?"

"You mean massage?"

"Yes," David says with a smile. "It's lovely."

"My mom. She used to do it for me when I was practicing. Her hands are a lot softer than mine."

"That's lovely."

He looks a little embarrassed. Then, without really thinking, he kisses David's hand. "Better?" he says, acting as if the kiss was no big deal.

David blushes a bit at that.

"Yes, thank you," he says softly, wondering what the kiss was for but unwilling to ask.

Blaine really meant it as a 'kiss and make you feel better' kind of thing, but now he feels a little silly about it.

"When do you want to have your next lesson?"

"Wednesday?" David suggests, pulling his hand back a bit.

"Works for me."

David nods and moves to pack up his guitar then. "Perfect."

Blaine moves to make sure everything is taken care of. "I mean it about the chocolate too," he promises.

David smiles. "Cheers. I really appreciate that."

He isn't used to talking about Dakin with anyone other than Scripps. And Scripps has never offered him chocolate.

It's nice, though. He quite likes it.
